A 30-page document handed out at a meeting or printed for a tender is unusable without page numbers — a reader who drops the stack can't reassemble it, and a presenter can't say 'turn to page 14' if the pages aren't labelled. Most digital-born PDFs (Word exports, browser prints) skip page numbers by default. This tool stamps them on every page in your chosen position, font and starting number.
pdf-lib draws a tiny text annotation on each page at the position you select (bottom-centre is the convention, but bottom-right and top-right are also offered). Existing content is unaffected — the numbers are added on top, not baked in, so they can be removed later by re-exporting without numbering.
